Online EMDR Therapy

Helping you overcome trauma so you can live with freedom and confidence.

Having trouble moving on from what happened?

You feel like your mind always on edge and you’re chronically tense. You’re experiencing anxiety, fear, strange thoughts or anger. You’ve never been able to talk about that one thing that happened. You feel like you’re living in a fog, stumbling on “triggers” all the time.

You just want to feel like yourself again.

You want to reclaim your story. You need to reclaim your story. You know you’re ready for change.

What is EMDR?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a highly researched and profoundly effective treatment method used to address trauma, anxiety, depression, and more.

EMDR therapy is different from other methods as it does not require extensive story-telling or detailed discussions of the distressing events of your life. Instead, EMDR focuses more directly on the mind and its natural path of healing.

In other words, we talk less and get out of the way of your brain so it can do the work of healing itself. While there’s no way to know for sure, many people find that they meet their goals faster than other types of therapy.

How can EMDR help?

You can heal and conquer trauma. You can feel close to those around you. You can trust again. You can be set free from anxiety and tension. And I can help you get there.

EMDR therapy helps you:

  • Learn how to calm your racing mind

  • Properly process distressing events so they stop impacting your day to day life

  • Learn tools to manage stress so you can be the best you can be

  • Improve your mood, concentration, and quality of life

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which does not involve as much talking as a typical talk-session does, is a highly effective research-based technique. What’s great about EMDR is that you don’t have to tell me the whole story, we just get out of the way of your mind so it can do what it needs to do to heal.

EMDR therapy sessions can be 60-minutes or 90-minutes long, and we meet using a secure telehealth platform called Simple Practice.

  • This also depends on your individual goals. Sometimes clients seek support for one specific issue, find their solution, and are on their way. And some clients find long-term therapy is a helpful tool to stay healthy and balanced as their lives evolve and change.
